The lining in all our scratch pants is a special sports wick lining that absorbs moisture and pulls the heat away from the body. All seams are double stitched. There are zippers on the side of the legs that go high enough to easily slip your shoes out of these pants. Additional Velcro tabs give a secure base at the bottom of the pant legs. No floppy straps on these suspenders as they have adjusting sliders with side release buckles. There are no belts to hook behind your back where it is not easy to work the closures. There are two belts, one on the interior and the other is on the exterior. These leather pants are full hides that have the suede on the exterior of the pants making them less slippery for the dog to slip. There is no need to add the weight to scratch pants by padding the back side of scratch pants, which also restricts movement. The entire interior of these scratch pants are lined with a sports fabric called "wicking fabric". This wicking fabric pulls the heat and moisture away from the body. These pants are professionally hand quilted and all seams are reinforced. The side of the legs have long zippers so you can easily slip these over your shoes. On the very bottom of the legs there is an added Velcro strap for pulling the legs to a tighter close position. The back of the pants comes up higher than most pants and the straps set narrow on the top of the back so the straps never slide off the shoulders. The straps are a comfortable 1.5" wide webbing with adjustable slides so there are no floppy strap ends. The interior belt system slips through and fastens to one side with wide secure Velcro. It would be less expensive for us to use nylon but our experience with nylon in this type of application is that it tends to run, snags and is hot to wear.
