Leather Non Restricting Tracking Harness

Features:
All latigo leather tracking harness that is not restrictive to the dog. This harness was designed with many features. It is very easy to put on and off with the quick release bolt snap that is on the girth strap. The front shoulder straps and the girth straps are adjustable for correct fit. The harness has the D-ring in the top center backed with a padded leather plate. This way the harness rides on the center of the dog not sliding from one side to the other during tracking. The unique thing about this tracking harness is that it can also be used with a bottcher harness. There are two Drings on the underside strap of the harness. With these rings you can use our bottcher lead harness or run double leads on this harness or just use one lead. If you have a dog that does ground tracking and does not keep its head down to scent the track, then this harness will be a tool to help correct the problem. To use this harness for that purpose you string a lead through the two bottom Drings of the harness and then attach it to the dog’s collar. When the dog raises its head you have the option with that bottom lead of correcting it and tugging on the bottom lead forcing its nose back down to the ground. The girth can be adjusted from 30 to 36 inches.

This is the type of line that I personally use to work my dog. It is 33 feet or 10 meters which is what is the regulation length used for Schutzhund work. The color is dark olive green. This line is 1" wide and made of heavy cotton webbing. It has a solid 3" bolt snap at one end that also swivels. Swivel snaps make for easy hooking off and on the harness or collar. The swivel snaps work well because they don't twist and tangle as easily. Liver Bait Liver Treats work perfect for starting your dog tracking. They also work good as an obedience reward as they motivate pooch. These liver treats are made from chicken livers. They come in a handy 4 oz. box and the top can be folded down for reuse. Marker Flags A set of 6 tracking flag markers. Retail on these markers is normally $1.95 each. The markers measure 24"long and the flags are 5"x8". They work well to use during tracking practice showing where you made your turns. Being bright orange you can easily see the turn long before you reach it. If you are aging your track it is not always easy to remember where you made your turns and these are great reminder flags. They are small enough not to distract the dog. Bait Bag Tracking bait bag made of tuff cordura fabric. It is yellow in color with black heavy nylon trim. The heavy trim helps hold the top open when not closed with the pull bungee cord. It is lined and can easily we wiped out clean. The size is 6.5" W x 5" T. There is a bungee draw string cord with stop so you can close the top. Also there is a D-ring on the front so you can hook your toy, lead, etc on the Treat Bag. The back has a spring snap so you can hook the bag on your belt or belt loop of your pants. This works so good and I have been using this on my dog. If you have a problem with your dog running over and past the articles this may be your solution. This small plastic box has hinged lid that has air holes in the top of the box. The box is 2.5" x 4" so the dog can not grab it and swallow it. What you do is to put something that the dog likes, I suggest well aged meat that has a good strong scent to it put in the box. When you are tracking the dog and they get to the article that they are to stop at then they will be drawn to stop and smell this smelly ripe box. Then you down your dog until you open the box and give them the reward for stopping and staying at the article. The holes are only on the top of the box so any juices remain in the box helping to add to the scent. Colors Vary.
